YOUNG MEN'S LEADERSHIP PROJECT

In 2016-2017 I served as the Young Men's Leadership Project clubs coordinator in the

Republic of Macedonia.  In this role I assisted in the design of club curriculum, the facilitation of lessons, the mentorship of young leaders, and in the design and implementation of service projects across Macedonia.  Our curriculum includes lesson on environmentalism, volunteerism, health, nutrition, and democracy.  The clubs offer youth from across Macedonia the opportunity to connect with diverse youth, engage in professionalism, and practice peer-to-peer and experiential learning.

With support from the YMCA we are proud to have acquired $1000 in funding to provide clubs with micro grants (up to $100 per club) to implement service in their communities.  These service projects will target analyzed needs, and support sustainability through community capacity building.

Lastly, in August 2017 I worked as a counselor for young leaders at the Young Men's Leadership Project camp in Krushevo, Macedonia.  For eight days I supported young men as they developed their self-confidence, public speaking, global awareness, professionalism, and leadership skills.
